<image:title>Blog Posts - Latest Poem: Freewrite August 12th, 2024 by Sophia Falco If the sun ever got tired, I would want to be the last to know— in this frame of mind; the glow on a few strands of my hair, swaying in the wind this hour soft light people peopling on the beach. This breeze didn’t carry away my worries or my sadness triggered by sightseeing rocks, especially the one engraved “RIP” then I turned away un-immune to reminders of depression. I was startled by the honk of a horn, that man acting a little too off in his red shirt and jeans (had to get away), but what lovely scenery yet childish adults throwing sand not bearing their heads in it like a poet said earlier today. I’m wondering about the mothership, but I know I need to stop wondering about it and that lone sailboat at sea facing away from me. My blog posts published by International Bipolar Foundation: Link to all 28 posts: https://ibpf.org/?s=sophia+falco “What 2022 Taught Me” (Jan, 2023) “Her Orange Crayon” (Dec, 2022) “Around The Sun: Trip 28” Nov 12th “Glow Sticks” (Oct, 2022) “Beyond The Beyond” (Sept, 2022) “Haiku Train: Railways” ( June, 2022) “The First Time” (May, 2022) “When Sorrow Stretches Across Too Many Days” (Apr, 2022) “Hearts” (Feb, 2022) “A Haiku For The New Year” (Jan, 2022) “Against The Self But Not Self-Inflicted” (Dec, 2021) 27th Trip Around The Sun (Nov, 2021) “To Keep Aflame” (Oct, 2021) “Raindrops Resemble” (Oct, 2021) “Hold On” (Sept, 2021) “Unlike Lightning” (Aug, 2021) “Brokenness” (June, 2021) “Visionary” (Apr, 2021) “Go Forth” (Mar, 2021) “Trapped Light” (Feb, 2021) “Everything’s Not Lost”: Song Review (Jan, 2021) “The Time is Now” (Dec, 2020) “Gathering the Light from The Stars: A Guided Imagery” (Nov, 2020) “Embracing Gratitude” (Nov, 2020) “A Letter to Liberate” (For Suicide Prevention Week: Sept, 2020) “Gardening as a Gateway to Look Outside Myself” (Aug, 2020) “Rising Above While Living With Bipolar Disorder: A Dream Come True” (June, 2020) “How Poetry Frees Me From Suffering” (Apr, 2020)</image:title>
